soon for your embroidery needs.

Madeira Rayon Colors have been used. Color choice your own.

Always work with your design placement from left to right starting with a corner design. Print the templets of each design you will use for the size of the runner or tablecloth edge or seam you want to embroider. Cut the edges out of the templets where the two designs have to join, (this will help you to do exact placements on the edges).

Now only hoop your stabilizer (I used a double layer of Avlon Plus) . Pin your fabric after you have made markings of where the edge should be onto the Avlon Plus in place(do not pin where the machine will embroider - I use to pin the fabric all around the inside edge of the hoop to prevent a scew setup)

TIP:
WHEN DOING THE MARKINGS ON THE FABRIC, I ALWAYS DRAW A LINE ON THE FABRIC FROM THE TEMPLET RIGHT IN THE CENTRE OF THE DESIGNS AS PER TEMPLET, WHEN THE HOOPING IS DONE I WILL LINE UP THIS LINE (CROSSHAIR) WITH THE CENTRE OF THE HOOP, THEN THIS IS EASY TO LINE UP THE TEMPLET IN THE HOOP WITH THE CENTRE LINE. I FOUND THIS MUCH EASIER THEN ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TO MOVE YOUR NEEDLE UP OR DOWN UNTIL YOU FIND THE DESIGN WILL COVER OR EDGE SMOOTHLY TO THE PREVIOUS DESIGN.

Place the templet inside the hoop and move to the position on where it should be -

Now move your machine needle right to the crosshair on the templet to get the centre of the design(in the meantime also check the edge of the design where it must overlap the previous design, you can move your needle and templet until you are happy with the placement).

Follow this procedure with each placement.

When finish cut away all excess stabilizer and then use Fraycheck all around the edges on the backside of the embroidery. When the fraycheck is dry, cut out the edges be carefull not to cut the embroidery threads.)
Soak and rinse the fabric to desolve the Avlon Plus, when dry iron with a stem iron on the back of the embroidery to ensure a nice flat edge.

How to place the designs to form a square: (I am giving you two examples to try, but you can use your own discretion by checking each design before placing, flip and rotate until you get the correct possition)

1) DESIGN BOR201A AND 201B ARE SIMPLE AS THERE AS NO FUNNY ENDS THAT HAVE TO OVERLAP, BUT ALWAYS OVERLAP THE PREVIOUS DESIGN WITH 2 TO 3 STITCHES.

2a) DESIGNS BOR202: To get a square of approx. 527mm
      1. BOR202A
      2. BOR202B (once or as many times as you prefer)
      3. BOR202C
      4. BOR202B (once or as many times as you prefer)
      5. BOR202C
      6. BOR202B (once or as many times as you prefer)
      7. BOR202C
      8. BOR202B (once or as many times as you prefer)

This combination will give you a cloth of 525.5mm square.
This is only an example you can combine any size, just ensure to check the second design always that the correct end is covering the previous designs end.

2b) SMALL SQUARE:
      1. BOR202A
      2. BOR202C
      3. BOR202C
      4. BOR202C

Hope you enjoy this as much as I did!!
Blessings
